1/4 cup whole star anise pods
5 tablespoons whole cloves
5 tablespoons Szechuan peppercorns
5 tablespoons fennel seed
1/4 cup ground cinnamon
Directions
Grind the anise pods, cloves, peppercorns, fennel, and cinnamon in a spice mill or with a mortar and pestle to a fine powder. Store in a sealed container in a cool dark place until needed.
